Love in action...an inclusive love for the more objective macro picture - our world, our environment and the amazing creatures we share our planet with, and love for the more subjective micro picture - Ourselves, our health and the health of our loved ones.

WHY?

The macro-stress the burgeoning meat, dairy poultry industries is putting on our world is reflected micro-level with disturbing accuracy within our very bodies. These industries are poisoning and depleting our food, drinking water, arable land, and clean air. Factory farms pollute the air and water for many miles in every direction, unleashing contamination and illness to the people who live and work nearby, and from where it spreads into other communities. This pollution and the unchecked use of toxic substances by these industries have resulted in chronic childhood sicknesses, brain damage, poisoned waterways, elevated cancer rates, and death plagues, setting off a torrent of new diseases and health & environmental issues in the last 100 years of ‘developement’ that humans as a race have never faced in their entire collective history over millennia...

When we abuse the environment and the animals, we don’t teach our children to do better, we forever condemn ourselves, our children - and their future Catalyst Food aims to bring about a change in the food habits of this generation by providing healthy, delicious, sustainable, humane, sustainable, plant-based & VEGAN options on the menu....

... because responsible living is a personal choice.

About Catalyst Food

Among other things, I’m an ex-animal activist, a mother and a foodie. I turned vegan in the mid-nineties and it was a huge lifestyle change for me, and my mother, who indulged me. She struggled to cook vegan for me in an exclusively non-vegetarian household. But overcoming the habits of a lifetime was not easy and I did fall off my lofty vegan horse more than a few times. Over the years, life as a vegan got easier…

I had developed a few essentials that made meal planning and prep uncomplicated & effortless and meals glorious and

satisfying on soo many levels.

And that’s how Catalyst Food came about…there are many who turn vegan with the best of intentions – it is good for our planet, definitely good for the animals, good for our health & good for our families and kids – its certainly one of the best decisions we will ever make! But many regress, finding it too difficult to sustain – only due to the lack of easy and tasty alternatives that make mealtimes a joy to look forward to.

Catalyst Food is focused on developing easy, versatile and delicious vegan convenience that guarantees satisfactory oohs and ahhhs...
